Privacy policy
Fancy Cafe AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at fancycafeai.org and the video generator on it. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, display name and the identity provider identifier returned when you sign in with Google.
- Photos: the two images you upload for a render.
- Videos: the MP4 files generated from your photos, plus the job metadata (format, length, status and timestamps).
- Credits and orders: your credit balance, credit lots, order references and the product you purchased. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical data: the minimum needed to run the service, such as request logs, error logs and the pages you visited on this site.
2. Photos and retention
Uploaded photos are stored in a private object-storage bucket and are reachable only through short-lived signed links. They are used to create the video you asked for and are not shown in a public gallery. A scheduled cleanup job deletes photos after the retention period, which is currently 7 days. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
If a render fails, the photos remain available for the normal retention window so you can retry; they are not kept longer because of the failure.
3. Videos
Finished videos are stored so you can watch and download them from My videos. We keep them while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete them. A share link, if you create one, can be opened by anyone who has the link; revoke it by deleting the video or contacting support.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by a merchant of record and its payment providers. They receive the information needed to complete the purchase, such as your email, order value, currency and tax details. We receive the order result and a payment reference, not your full card details. Their own privacy policies apply to the payment step.
5. Service providers
We use infrastructure providers for authentication, database and object storage, and an image-to-video model provider to render the clip. They process data on our instructions and only for the service. Some providers may process data outside your country; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
6. Analytics
The production site uses self-hosted Plausible Analytics, connected through the site’s own /stats proxy. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or build cross-site profiles. If analytics is not connected, the script is removed and no analytics data is collected.
7. Why we process data
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To upload your photos, render the video and deliver the result.
- To charge credits, record orders and handle refunds.
- To prevent abuse, fraud and illegal content.
- To diagnose errors and keep the service secure.
- To comply with tax, accounting and consumer-protection law.
8. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos or videos in a public gallery. We do not use your photos to train a public model. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise a right, email support@fancycafeai.org from the address on your account. We may need to verify that the account is yours before we act.
10. Children
Fancy Cafe AI is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has uploaded a photo, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use signed upload and read links, private storage, server-side secrets and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your Google account and do not share your sign-in link.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page changes with each version. If a change materially affects how we use photos, we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
